Iconic fashion designer Bob Mackie, who has died aged 87, spent his career styling the biggest stars in his signature bedazzled, feathered and beaded couture.

From old Hollywood's Marilyn Monroe to adorning singer Sabrina Carpenter in a pearly dress reminiscent of the 90s, Mackie's ensembles felt new and exciting – even when they recalled a bygone age.
